Play it cool year round at Denton Natatorium (NAT), our indoor aquatic center, or during the summer at Water Works Park or Civic Center Pool. All three are family-friendly aquatics facilities that offer a variety of activities to keep you afloat, such as swim lessons, camps, swim teams, and season passes!

  • Denton NAT

    This joint-use facility is used by Denton Independent School District and Denton Parks and Rec. DISD uses the facility for swim meets, practices, and water polo matches. The NAT is at 2400 Long Rd., off Sherman Drive near Loop 288.

    Individual Annual Pass, $120 (up to 3), $90 (4 or more)

    Nonresidents add an additional $5 per pass. 
    Passes now include water exercise classes.

    Punch Cards
    Ages 16 and older, $30 (10 punches), $60 (20 punches)

    Nonresidents add an additional $5 per punch card. 
    Each punch is good for one visit. 
    Punch cards are valid for six months frome date of purchase. 

  • Civic Center Pool

    Civic Center Pool is next to Quakertown Park, behind Denton Civic Center, at 515 N. Bell Ave. The pool is seasonal and offers season passes, rentals and birthday party packages, and swim lessons.

    Ages 2 to 17, $3
    Under age 2, free

    Hours of Operation
    Monday-Saturday, noon to 6 p.m.
    Sunday, 1 to 6 p.m.

    Season Passes
    Passes may be purchased at Denton Civic Center or Denton Natatorium.

    Training and Certification

    Swim Lessons
    Group or private swim lessons for all ages and abilities are offered at Civic Center Pool and the Denton NAT. Check out the PLAY! Guide.

    Water Aerobics and Therapy
    Purchase a water exercise punch card at Denton Natatorium and use it interchangeably for deep challenge, shallow water workout, and senior-level water exercise. Water exercise NAT passes and punch cards include admission to the Natatorium for lap swim or open swim at no additional cost. Punch cards are valid for six months from the date of purchase.

    Birthday Party Rentals
    Available beginning May 27 for $110. This package includes one hour under the shaded party area, invitations, paper goods, cake, and drinks. Pizza is available for an additional fee. Limited to 15 guests; each additional guest pays daily admission price. To book, call (940) 349-8806.

    After Hours Private Rentals
    The pool is available for private rentals on weekdays beginning at 7:30 p.m. and on weekends beginning at 6:30 p.m. Lifeguards are provided. All rental fees must be paid in full at the time of booking. Rental fees vary starting at $180. To book your next party, call (940) 349-8802.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I purchase a membership to all three aquatic facilities?
    Yes, we offer an individual All Access Annual Pass at a discounted resident rate of $150 per person. The nonresident rate is $155. We also offer an additional discounted rate for the purchase of four or more at $120 per resident and $125 for nonresidents. Four or more passes must be purchased in the same transaction. Please see each facility page for other pass and punch card options.
  • When does Water Works Park and Civic Center Pool open?
    Water Work Park opens on the weekends beginning May 20, then opens daily beginning June 3. Civic Center Pool will be open for Memorial Day weekend, then daily beginning June 3. The NAT is open year round and closed during City holidays.
  • Is Denton NAT a public pool?
    Yes, the NAT is a public pool that operates under a joint-use facility agreement with Denton Independent School District, therefore making the NAT accessible to DISD for swim meets, practices, and water polo matches.
  • Can I bring my own blow up floats to the pools?
    No, the only flotation devices permitted are US Coast Guard approved life jackets and puddle jumpers.
